Roof Cleaning
Safely remove black streaks, moss, lichen, and algae from your roof using proven soft-wash techniques — no high-pressure that damages shingles or voids warranties.
Those black streaks are alive — and growing
The dark streaks you see on roofs are caused by Gloeocapsa Magma — a type of algae that feeds on the limestone filler in asphalt shingles. Left untreated, it attracts moss and lichen, which lift and crack shingles, accelerating deterioration and shortening your roof's lifespan by years.
Pressure washing a roof will strip granules and void most manufacturer warranties. Soft washing is the only method endorsed by the Asphalt Roofing Manufacturers Association (ARMA) — and it's what we use on every job.
- ARMA-approved soft-wash method — won't void warranties
- Removes algae, moss, and lichen at the root
- Extends shingle life and prevents premature replacement
- Dramatically improves curb appeal and home value
How We Do It
Safe, proven, and thorough — every single time.
Roof & Property Assessment
We inspect the roof's condition, shingle type, and pitch, and identify problem areas. We also protect gutters, landscaping, and surrounding surfaces before we begin.
Apply Soft-Wash Solution
A biodegradable, low-pressure cleaning solution is applied from the ground up or from the rooftop — depending on pitch and safety requirements. The solution kills algae, moss, and lichen on contact.
Dwell Time
We let the solution work for 15–20 minutes, fully neutralizing biological growth. Most organic matter loosens and begins washing away on its own during this phase.
Low-Pressure Rinse
A gentle low-pressure rinse removes all residue — no granule loss, no shingle damage. We clean gutters of any runoff before we leave, and walk the property to confirm you're satisfied.
